Mark all of the spark plug wires with their respective cylinder numbers. Remove spark plug wires from distributor. Remove 2 screws that retain distributor cap. Using a paint marker, mark the location of the rotor with respect to the distributor housing. Remove the 2 distributor hold down bolts. Pull distributor from engine. Install new distributor in reverse order, being sure to insert the new distributor with the rotor in the same orientation as the one that you took out.
I have a 97 Sebring convertible, my trunk will not open, I tried using the key and the remote, is there an emergency release cable anywhere else in the car?
Yes, a transmission from a 98 Sebring will work in a 97 Sebring. This is because they are both a 2.5 liter engine and both are auto sticks.
Unlock the door with the key or with the remote.
today I change my own in my 97 sebring, I will let you know when I finish how it went
See the following in this discussion list: Why is the water leaking into the frame well of your 1997 seabring convertible? Why is water leaking into the frame well of your 1997 Chrysler Sebring convertible? How do you unclog the rain water drain that is draining into the car? Where are the drain holes on a 97 Chrysler Sebring convertible?
DEPENDS ON THE MODEL OF UR CAR AS TO WITCH FILTER AND THE LOCATIONif its the same as my 97 sebring convertible it is above the gas tank and you have to drop the tank to get to it
I recently changed mine with a newer one. I went to a local junk yard where you pull and pay and took one off a 97. I checked the part number and it was the same, it cost me 17.00 and it worked like new. I suggest you do the same.
I don't think the 97 has a distriburetor.
not for sure about the 98 model, but in the 97 model, the switch that turns on the headlights also "pulls out"....try that Same as the 97
The shift solenoid B for a 1997 Chrysler Convertible is located inside the transmission. The speed sensor has to be removed to access the bolts to remove the cover over this shift solenoid.
On my 97 convertible there are rubber plugs in the front rear fenderwells down at the bottom. I found this out the hard way because the rear floor was wet when the water could not escape. How stupid is it that plugs are in there in the first place.
If it is a convertible the drain holes are full of crap, they are located under the rocker panels. They are usually bent shut when using a jack or lift in the wrong location.
