Open the liftgate. Remove the 2 screws at the top of the tail light assembly. There are 4 bayonet pins on the assembly that insert into a sort of grommet in the body. It helps to stick a small bright light into the crack between the assembly and the body to see the direction that you need to pull. Pull straight back on the assembly starting at the upper inside corner. You can pry between the assembly and body but be careful not to scratch the paint. After fully disengaging the first pin, it is easier to see the others. When all of the pins are disengaged, the assembly will come off in your hands. The light sockets simply twist out of the assembly. Pull the old bulb out and plug the new one in. Twist the socket back into the assembly. If you removed both sockets, tail light / turn signal light and back up light, make sure that you put them back in the correct location. Align the bayonet pins and push the assembly back in place. Replace the 2 screws. Job done!
