This is general oil pump removal. drain the oil. remove the oil pan, lots of bolts. you should be able to see the oil pick up tube, follow it to the oil pump. the pump ususally has 2-4 bolts. remove them. the pump should come out. It is possible that the fault is in the oil pick up tube. it can get clogged up. You may want to check it you are not sure. Tips make sure to get all of the gasket of the bottom end of the block. clean it good. tighten the bolts slowly, in some form of a star pattern. like putting a tire on. put the bolts up finger tight, and then tighten then to the same amount of pressure. you can bend the flange on the oil pan. hope it helps. duboff

take the tank out
A water pump is not really a water pump. It carries the fluid, antifreeze/coolant, from the the reservoir to the radiator/engine to keep it cool. It is now referred to as a "fluid pump"

On a 1996 Ford Bronco : The ELECTRIC fuel pump is INSIDE the fuel tank * it is installed through an access hole in the top of the tank
You must remove the gas tank. The pump is mounted on top of it.
On a 3.8L 95 mustang the oil filter mounts to the oil pump.
