* Loosen the wheel lug nuts raise the rear of the car and support it securely on jackstands block the front wheels * Remove the wheel.Work on one brake assembly at a time using the assembled brake for reference if necessary * Clean the brake caliper assembly and disc with brake cleaner to remove the brake dust * Inspect the brake rotor carefully make sure it dont need to be replaced * Remove the caliper mounting bolts * Remove the caliper by pulling it directly away from the mounting bracket * Suspend the caliper by hanging it aside with a piece of coat hanger wire:DO NOT let it hang by the brake hose * Remove the outer brake pad then remove the inner pad * Remove both spring clips from the caliper mounting bracket and replace them with new ones * Remove the guide pins and clean them thoroughly,inspect the boots and pins for wear or damage and replace them if necessary.Lubricate the guide pins with hightemperature grease and reinstall them * Compare the new brake pads with the original ones and make sure that they have an out shim installed on them * Install the new inner brake pad then install the outer brake pad * Postion the brake caliper onto the mounting bracket while aligning the pin on the inner brake pad with the notch in the caliper piston * Make sure that the guide pins are properly matched to the caliper:install the caliper mounting bolts and tighten thme to torque 76 FT-LBS * After the job has been completed firmly depress the brake pedal a few times to bring the pads into contact with the rotor.Check the level of the brake fluid add if necessary * Check the operation of the brake carefully before installing wheel
