I have a 1999 Grand am and I changes the bulbs myself. There will be a plastic covering that has about 4 screws on the corners and then a bunch of plastic things that you need to take a screwdriver and pop off the head then the rest of it will just come out. Then there should be 2 silver metal clips to pull up on. they come up and then bend in towards the engine. You might need to look for a few minutes i didn't find them right away, but they are quite obvious when you do. after that the whole headlight assembly will come out. There is a black knob type thing that turns about a 1/4 turn which holds the bulb in. unscrew that, pull the old bulb out and put the new one in. Don't touch the actual bulb though on the new one as the oils on your skin can damage it. Good luck!
like $20-30 bucks

I need help too, but I know you need a 9007 lamp.
I was looking at the 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis Owner Guide and it shows that you can change each of the ( 4 light bulbs for the 2 low beam and the 2 high beam headlights ) ( the low beam headlights take bulb # 9006 ) ( the high beam headlights take bulb # 9005 )
remove the headlights totally from car it should only have two bolts 10mm
Go to Autozone, when you purchase the bulbs, they'll put them in for free
