Caution!Halogen bulbs are pressurised, and could burst. Wear protective goggles and gloves when handling halogen bulbs.
Do not touch the glass part of the bulb. This could transfer oil from your skin onto the bulb, which could cause it to fail prematurely.
How it is done:1)* Remove the wiring plug from the back of the bulb. This may take a minute and is the most difficult part of the change. It should be pulled straight backward. Push before pulling while pinching, see pictures found following link bellow.
2)* Remove the rubber boot from around the back of the headlight case.
3)* Squeeze the metal tabs just inside the housing (above the bulb) together to release the retainer spring from the headlight housing. On the photo, the headlight was already removed.
Once the spring is freed, the headlight bulb can be removed.
Replace the old bulb with the new bulb. The center horizontal prong at the back of the plug should be at the top when installed. (Inspect the bulb through the front of the headlight housing to ensure it is seated correctly.)
Use one hand to hold the bulb in place, and use a second hand to squeeze the tabs of the retainer spring together to replace it. Move the compressed spring back into the housing.
Replace the rubber boot. Make sure it is oriented correcly. (The word "Top" is printed at the top of the boot.)
Replace the wiring plug.
Test the low and high beams before driving.
