REPLACING FRONT BRAKE DISCS ON 2001 ON Jeep LIBERTY. 1. REMOVE WHEEL. 2. REMOVE UPPER CALAPER BOLT. LONG BOLT WITH RUBBER DUST COVERS. (10 OR 12MM HEAD). 3. ROCK CALAPER BACK ON LOWER SCREW TO REVEAL THE PADS. 4. WIGGLE THE PADS FREE FROM THEIR HOUSING. 5. FIT THE NEW PADS IN PLKACE OF THE OLD ONES REMEMBERING TO FIT THE THIN BACKING COVERS OFF THE OLD DISCS. 6. PUSH THE PISTONS BECK INTO THEIR HOUSING. (A G CLAMP IS HANDY FOR THIS). 7. ROTATE THE CALAPER BACK INTO POSITION, REPLACE THE LONG BOLT AND RUBBER DUST COVERS. 8. REPLACE WHEEL.

I have a 2003 jeep liberty, i just got my rear brakes done. It cost me any where from 179.00 to 250.00. You can get it done cheaper, just dont let the brake place screw you over like they did to me.

You will need to remove the front tire and wheels from your 2002 Jeep liberty. Remove the brake pads and break assembly. Tap the rotors with a hammer or mallet. The rotors will come off. Reverse the process to install the new rotors.
