I assume you mean the center brake light in the rear window. I struggled with this too, and even the dealer service rep couldn't figure it out.
As you face the light cowling from the rear seat, There is a big tab in the back of the cover with two tabs on the side next to the window. Holding both sides of the high-mounted stoplight cover, press in with both thumbs on the bottom of the cover in the center, then lift up.
Next you will see a set of wires going from the trunk to the light holder, turn the holder counter-clockwise to remove the light.
Make sure you get an 18W light bulb #921. It will look like a pull out type bulb. You don't want the bulb with the tabs.
