First, unscrew the gear knob and lift the trim from the back. Then, lift the gaiter and the trim away from the console plate. Next, remove the old gaiter from the trim. Finally, line up and connect the new gaiter to the trim and reconnect the trim to the console plate.

incorrect gearbox oil. There is a lot of talk about the correct oil to use, even some Ford garages use the specified oil(which is incorrect). Some Ford garages do use a different oil.
