Crankshaft Sensor is located at back of engine near the flywheel. Two bolts hold it on and there is a connector with two wires. CPS cost approx. $30. Screw out 2 bolts, undo connector and pull out of engine block. Their may also be a dust cover and shims. Enjoy.

I think you mean CAMSHAFT position sensor.
Gm. did not use a crank shaft sensor in 1988, It had a distributor that done everything.
There is no crank sensor on a 1986 camaro z28.. that sensor is in the camaros past 1988 i believe.. but the 1986 carb or fuel injection (tpi) does not have one
A faulty crank sensor can do that.
check on the back of the motor above the transmission
if it has a crankshaft sensor that's bad
Generally when the crank sensor goes out the engine will not start. The sensor on almost all vehicles is located in the front on the engine near the belts. In most cases it is held in place by a bolt.Usually they can be hard to get to.
The Camshaft Sensor is located right behind the crank shaft fly wheel and can be very hard to change out without consulting a mechanic first.
it will be mounted at the harmonic balancer on the bottom and front of the engine
I don't know of a kill switch but there is a crank sensor.
yes the 2.5L 4 cyl engine has the ignition module mounted to the back of the engine block, firewall side.the crank sensor is also there under the moduel and coils
