I got my replacement battery at Walmart. Just go to the automotive section and look up the 2002 Vue in their battery binder book. The one it listed for my Vue was the Maxx-75S. It cost me $69.94 Look up yours in the book just in case anything has changed from the time i wrote this.
1) use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 3 screws holding the plastic cover which sits over the battery.
2) use a 5/16 wrench to loosen both connectors on the battery.
3) use a 1/2 inch socket to remove the bolt which actually holds the batter in place. This bolt is located at the base of the battery on the side facing the steering wheel. The amount of space you have to loosen this bolt is very narrow. It requires a deep socket extender to get down in there or you wont be able to get it loose.
4) take the old battery out and put the new one in its place. If the replacement battery does not come with the bracket to put that bolt back in its not a big deal, the battery cover is enough to hold it in place in my opinion.
5) use your 5/16 wrench to tighten the black and red connectors onto the new battery
6) test your battery to see if the engine starts. If it does, replace the battery cover with the 3 screws you removed in step 1.
7) pat yourself on the back
8) drive

The battery in the Saturn Vue is located under the hood on the driver's side, near the front of the car.
I have a 2002 Vue and the bolt pattern is 5x115.
The starter on the 2002 Saturn vue is located on the front underside of the engine, follow the positive(red) cable from the battery and it should connect to the solenoid which is part of the starter.
