The parking brake cable on a 2005 ford f150 runs under the frame. Where the cable splits off to the wheels there is an adjustment. Tightening the nut will make the brakes tighter.
Adjuster should be under the vehicle at the junction of the 3 cables Set parking brake to "3" clicks and tighten cable - vehicle should hold at this point
And why in the world would you want to do that, as the rear brakes which are operated by the parking brake are already activated by the brake pedal. Do not even think of doing this.
front brakes are disk they are not adjustable. there should never be a need! if you are having problems I would say you have a stuck caliper. Dis-assemble see if the piston will move freely (and push t back in) lube all slider (contact points) and reassemble. If there is still spongyness after a couple pumps (remember we need a couple to push the piston back out) I would say you have some trapped air in the system and would then need to bleed the brakes. (do all 4 starting at rear passenger side)

Make sure brake fluid in the master cylinder is at the proper level Make sure parking brake is fully released and switch is working
there is no front parking brake on a ford 4x4. the park brake is in the rear wheel brake assembly only ^ not what he asked The front cable does go to the back and on f150 93 and later theres no adjuster before the equalizer I think you have to remove the Pedal to get some slack im currently looking for the answer too
how do you adjst clutch on 87ford f150
If you are parking on a hill, set the parking brake first. If not, the weight of the vehicle rests on the parking pawl, and can make it hard to get the vehicle out of park. If this is not the case, then the shifter cable/linkage may need adjustment, or a steering column rebuild.
If the parking brake / emergency brake is on , or if the BRAKE FLUID LEVEL in your brake master cylinder in the engine compartment is LOW , and probably before you start the engine when you turn your ignition key to the RUN position just to make sure the bulb for the warning light works
A common problem with these trucks was brake cables for the parking brake not retracting correctly after the cable has been applied.Another possible issue may be from a leaking axle seal causing differential fluid to coat the brake shoes.I'll watch this question if you need more possibilities.
