The vehical must be elevated on stands or a hoist EVENLY and level. There is a small drain plug near the passenger side inner cv joint. with the car at normal temp and running, remove the plug. If the fluid comes out in small but steady stream, you're ok. If you need to add, there is a red cap on top of the trans near the bell housing. Fill until you get a small but steady stream. to change the fluid you must drop the bottom pan, but the factory gasket is reuseable. HTH
