you open the plastic bottle and pour in the antifreeze
its a speed sensor. about 95$ plus labor
I had the same problem and found out it was the crank shaft sensor!

On a 1995 Lincoln Continental : The ELECTRIC fuel pump is INSIDE the fuel tank It is installed through an access hole in the top of the tank
The 95 Conti has no OBD1 plug. The vehicle is equipped with the OBD2 system with the port under the steering wheel.
Do you have the factory air ride or have you converted the car to a coil over suspension?
The MAF sensor may be in need of cleaning.

add 50/50 mix of coolant and antifreeze or buy premixed from local auto parts supplier
check the head gaskets before you replace motor
