It is a Lever handle (long instead of a knob) that has not a lock.
Hold door handle (opening lever) as if you're opening the door and then push lock lever to lock
remove inner door panel for access to lock
An exterior door is usually a keyed doorknob or keyed lever. It may consist of single or multiple bolts to lock the door.
you have to remove the lock clinder
remove the door panel. The door handle is fastened with two 10mm nuts. just unscrew those and if has a lock, remove the linkage clip from the lock to be able to remove the door handle. Installation is in reverse order. I just replaced mine today.
It is fairly straight forward. You must take off the inside panel of the door to access the inside of the door. A metal spring/clip holds the lock inside its slot. You can take this spring off easier after removing the bolts that hold the door handle to the door. Once the door handle can be freed from the the outside of the door, you can access the clip much easier from the outside. Once the lock is unclipped, you must remove the lever that is attached to the lock. BE CAREFUL not to break the plastic clip that holds the lever if you wish to use the same lock in the door. The clip can be removed by prying the teeth of the clip from the lever with your finger. At this point, the lock can be removed completely. To replace, the opposite must be done.
* To remove the outside door handle and lock assembly raise the window and remove the door trim panel and watershield * Working through the access hole disengage the plastic clips that secure the outside handle to latch actuating rod and the outside door lock to latch actuating rod * Working through the access hole remove the outside door handle retaining bolts * Remove the handle/lock cylinder assembly from the car
You have to remove the door panel and it will be just under the out side door handle.
Dude, you need a new door handle. Sorry.
The problem is that the inside door handle is broken. Although the inside door handle needs replacement you can still open the door by pulling on the lock lever above the handle.
