You can take this spring off easier after removing the bolts that hold the door handle to the door. Once the lock is unclipped, you must remove the lever that is attached to the lock. BE CAREFUL not to break the plastic clip that holds the lever if you wish to use the same lock in the door. The clip can be removed by prying the teeth of the clip from the lever with your finger. At this point, the lock can be removed completely. To replace, the opposite must be done.
