The inside air filter on a 2006 Cadillac DTS is changed by opening the access panel under the glove compartment and pulling the filter. A new filter can then be put in place and the panel closed.
To replace the AC filter in a 2006 Kia Sedona you have to remove the doorstops in the glove compartment, change the filter, and replace everything.
Mine is in the glove compartment
I have a 2003 (may be the same for your 2006) and the cabin filter is behind the glove compartment. I had to remove the glove compartment and then I could get to the cabin filter to replace it. Kind of hard to get to, but I was able to do it myself.
beneath the dash board in the glove compartment
It is behind the bottom glove compartment.
You have to remove the glove compartment. There's 2 screws on the lower part of the compartment and a few more inside the compartment, connecting to the dash. After that... one last screw from the filter housing and thats it. Pretty simple.
no fraid not
I own an 04 and the filter is located behind the glove compartment- just open it up and it should be in the back there- just pull it out.
If you have a 2004-2006 (other years may also be the same), the cabin air filter sits behind the glove compartment in your vehicle. To access the cabin air filter, open the glove compartment as you would normally. On the left side of the compartment, you will see a knob with a retractable string that attaches to the glove compartment (this controls how fast the glove compartment falls when you open it). While gently pushing up on the glove compartment, turn the knob attachment clockwise slightly and then away from the glove compartment to release it. Then push in on both ends of the glove compartment to release the catch triggers that lock the glove compartment movement downward. At this point, the glove compartment will be completely free, so make sure to keep your hand underneath it so it does not completely fall out. You do not need to completely remove the glove compartment, you only need it to be released from the vehicle's dash. Inside the newly exposed area behind the glove compartment, you will see a white filter housing panel. Push in the two clips to release the filter housing. Replace the filter with a suitable replacement, making sure to maintain the position of the filter (filters will not work correctly if they are not in the right position). Place the filter housing panel back into the vehicle. Make sure it is locked in with the two clips. Reverse the steps above to replace the glove compartment. NOTE: You may find it easier to attach the control level (the retractable string) to the glove compartment before locking in the two catch triggers on either side of the glove compartment.
The fuse box for the 2006 BMW 3 series is in the glove box(compartment). Hope this helps..
Open the glove compartment. If your glove compartment door is held by a small plastic arm, push the arm off its post. Squeeze both sides of the glove compartment door while gently pulling down. The door will come off. Look into the space revealed behind the glove compartment. You will see a plastic rectangular drawer, approximately 8" wide and 1" high. It may have release tabs on both sides. Press tabs, and remove by pulling straight out. The paper filter element can be lifted from the drawer. Replace with a clean element, noting the direction arrows on the filter element. Replace in reverse order, and rehang the glove compartment.
