∙ 15y agoThat is a major problem - you need to find out where the oil is coming from. Pull the dipstick out of your engine and see if there is coolant in the oil - it will look whitish / creamy. Could be head gasket or a triad of other things. Post more information. if is the 3.1 engine they are known for lower intake gaskets leaking

it will allow coolant to leak ut. once the coolant gets low then the vehicle can over heat

Actually, both are used. However, it is more common to pull air through the radiator towards the engine. This draws cooler outside air through the radiator. Pushing air from the engine towards the radiator means that you are pulling hot air from around the engine towards the radiator.

Usually the thermostat can be located by following the top radiator hose to the engine and it would be right there, fastened by possibly two bolts to the intake. That is correct for the four cylinder. On the six, it is under the housing where the lower radiator hose hooks to the engine.
