when you first turn the key on, the cluster should illuminate many lights. ABS should be one of them. Or you can look under the hood at the master cylinder and follow the brake lines to see if they go to the ABS actuator. No actuator=not ABS
Possible abs sensor failure.
There is only one ABS brake pump motor recommended for the 1990 Lincoln Mark VII. The ABS pump is manufactured by three different companies.
That usually means that the ABS control module has detected a problem with one of the sensors or actuator. It also means that you only have regular brakes and that your ABS isn't working.
Steady application of the brakes. You do not pump the brakes on an ABS fitted vehicle.
Yes.
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner
Most ABS actuator pumps are located either on the master cylinder or the firewall right below the master cylinder. Either case, follow the hydraulic line from the master cylinder until you find the actuator.
this could be the cause of low brake fluid or that your foot is on the brake and it is indicating that the ABS is working.
no such thing. there is a vacuum brake booster on the left side of the firewall
This means there is a component that is not working properly or not working at all in your abs system, it could also mean you have no power going to your abs system or an open wire in your abs system. It could also be the that the fuse is blown for you abs system.
Lacking any further information my initial thought would be that the ABS booster pump has failed.
