Do a fuel pressure test
Symptoms of a Bad Fuel Pressure Regulator Check related link below
A bad fuel pressure regulator will cause the car to stall or not run .
you have to use a vacuum pump and aply pressure to it and if fuel goes into the regulator then its working.
Then you have a BAD fuel pump. Replace the pump and filter. If it is higher then 63 LBS. then the fuel pressure regulator is bad.
the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail might be bad
its not in the manifold it should be on your fuel rail
either your fuel pressure regulator is bad or the fuel pump is weak and going
You will have and possibly no start. Remove the regulator vaccum, turn the ignition on and it shouldn't spray gasoline, if it does the regulator is bad.
many different factors can result in a bad idle on a vehicle. some of them is the fuel pressure regulator, the throttle positioning sensor (located on the throttlebody) and faulty plugs & wires, or fuel injectors
You will need to test the pressure of the fuel system with the regulator on and then disabled. You will need a manual for the correct pressures. Be sure to read the fuel warnings in the manual as the fuel rails will be under pressure even with the vehicle turned off.
A few possibilities could be the fuel pump relay is bad, the fuel pressure regulator is bad, the fuel pump circuit wiring may be bad and maybe the new pump is bad.
