Check your wiper linkage under the hood and/or the tightness of the wiper arm on the wiper spindle.

The drivers side wiper is a special Subaru wiper that you have to go to the dealer for. I'm not 100% sure if its the length that's the issue or attachment, but its not listed in the aftermarket applications. You CAN get the passenger side and rear wiper aftermarket. The drivers side wiper blade for a 2005 Subaru Forester is 22 and the passenger side wiper blade is a 19. The rear window wiper is a size 15.

The nut holding the wiper arm to the wiper transmission is loose. Shut the wipers off, move drivers side wiper where it should be in the off position and tighten nut. There may be a plastic cover over the nut that you must remove to gain access.
