There are 2 on each side of the block 2 on the front of the block an multiple on the back.
There are actually no freeze plugs located in the block. The only freeze plugs are located in the cyl. heads front and rear.
There is 2 freeze plugs between the rear of the engine and the transmission. The freeze plugs are in the back of the engine block. Do not bother the big plug that is in the center of the block, That is the cam plug NOT A FREEZE PLUG. YOu will either have to pull the transmission are the engine to replace those 2 plugs.
Yes there are 2
Approx. 7 1/2 quarts. ----------------
there are 2 under the timing chain covers if it is a 4.6L DOHC and 2 in back of motor .
It has spark plugs, plug wires, and a distributor.
12... 2 per cyl
On the side of the engine block, under the exhaust manifold and above the oilpan. On that car, because it is FWD, the side of the engine block would be in front of you as you're looking at the engine from the front of the car. The plugs are round disks about 2 inches across. *Jwko - if its a V-6 there are freeze plugs in the front and rear
You have 2 plugs on each side of the block, Just under where the heads bolt on You have 2 in the front of the engine , 1 on each side of timing cover. You have 2 in the back of the engine, Need to remove transmission to see them.
to start with, there are more than 2 freeze plugs. now the hardest to find are generally behind the flywheel, and to get to them the transmission and clutch need to be removed
depending on the year, normally 2 along either side of the block, 2 on the front (upper right and left corner of the block) and 2 on the back
