yes, i Just did it to my Fiat 500 to make it seem less girly. It now makes a kind of turbo sound when revving low almost like a rally car. hope this helps.
Not a good idea because the fumes may get into the cabin area.
start with your head A muffler with holes in it would sound like a muffler with holes in it, terrible. Drilling holes in the muffler would increase the chance of getting exhaust fumes in the vehicle which is a bad thing.
NO...if you want to drill holes in your exhaust just to make it louder your only going to get a small grinding sound..not much of a difference..just makes ur exhaust sound like its about to fall off...BUT if you just simply buy a Glasspack for like 30 bucks and have it put on for like 40, or put it on yourself...then sound will not be a problem, youll have a nice grumble sound...as for performance exhausts..your paying for the internal part of the muffler system like the fiberglass and all the intricate crap.
Mufflers if you want a "sporty sound" Entire exhaust systems if you really want sportier, and more power
Yes, an exhaust tip can change the sound of the exhaust to some extent. It can alter the tone or volume of the exhaust noise but will not have a dramatic impact on the overall sound of the vehicle. The design of the exhaust system and muffler play a more significant role in determining the exhaust sound.
Flutes have holes so it creates a certain sound when you cover certain holes. If there were no holes, it would only make one sound.
exhaust tip or glasspack it
F-holes on a violin basically let the sound out. The sound from the vibrating string resonates within the body of the violin, amplifying it and giving the sound the unique sound of the violin. The sound waves bounce around inside the hollow body of the violin until some of it leaves the body through the f-holes. F-holes are used instead of round holes to give the violin that crisp, clean sound that they have.
If all the holes are open, that will produce the highest sound.
By adding a dual exhaust and/or exhaust headers either short or long tubes for sound and performance
Jobs that include sound can be builders (drilling) and radio people as they involve alot of sound. Also musicians!
Noisy exhaust, exhaust smells entering passenger compartment. holes rusted seam, or if the engine has been backfired it will appear swelled up near the middle also if it makes a rattle sound when struck it may have loose or broken baffles inside
