The only vehicle that I have ever owned that had a drain plug in the fuel tank was a 1982 Volvo 244GL ( It came in handy when I got a bad load of gas )
how to drain 1999 windstar
No, there is no drain plug.
Check the carb., make sure it is clean. If it not clean, blow it out really good, dip in in a bucket of gasoline, let sit to dry then blow out again. Check spark plugs, clean, change if neccesary. Drain gas if unsure how old it is. Very easy to drain gas, unscrew from firewall, and turn gas switch on with hose connected to it to drain. More than likey, bad gas and/or spark plugs need to be cleaned/changed...
There is no drain plug so you will have to pump the fuel out.
Fuel tanks usually don't have a drain, so either run the car out of gas, remove a fuel line and direct it to a bucket with the ignition switch on, or remove the gas tank and take the sending unit out and pour the gas out of that. Those are the three possibilities I can think of, hopefully they work for you. Hayden
The 1940 Ford car and truck has a gas tank that will hold 15 gallons of gas. The present day vehicles will hold more than the old Ford tanks.
