Have not figured that out, but we have found a way to make it stop using this procedure on our Uplander.
A: Open door manually (our motor is broken so that is all we have anyway).
B: Close the door very slowly until it clicks once (note: the rear part will be sticking out about an inch because you did not slam it shut)
C: Push in slowly and firmly on the rear of the door until it latches.
For us this worked very well for about 2 weeks - don't know why it works better than slamming door.
Thank you for the great advise this really worked for my uplander van
How do you disable the alarm on the 2003 hyundai elantra?
By wearing the seatbelt.
Chevrolet Uplander was created in 2005.
In order to disable the alarm system on a 2005 Honda Accord, you can either disconnect the battery, or remove the alarm module all together inside the car.
It can not be disabled. It is reset by unlocking the van with the remote.

Put your seatbelt on like the laws says and common sense begs you to do.
The Chevrolet Uplander's engine comes in a 3.5 LX9V6, a 3.9 LZV6 and a 3.9 LGD V6. The Chevrolet Uplander was first produced in 2005, and they were stopped in 2009.
You need a remote start system that works with the alarm/smart key system. You can not just unhook the alarm.
The alarm can not be disabled by pulling a fuse. The engine computer, ignition switch, interior lighting, and exterior lighting computers are all involved with the alarm. Pulling any of their fuses will disable the car.
Disconnect electrical connector under driver seat that connects to seat belt device.
