My 1992 Olds Delta 88 has the serpentine belt diagram on the top of the radiator
If your 88 CRX SI alternator belt is making a strange intermittent noise shortly after changing the alternator what's wrong, the belt tension could be off. Adjust the belt slightly.
Call autozone and they will have a diagram of where this is. also in the haynes manuel the is a location showed for you
The diagram to the alternator of a 1988 Sedan Deville can be found in the cars repair manual. It can be bought at an auto part store.
I found this information with a diagram of the serpentine belt. Hope it helps.

Hey Duane==I think I use a wrench on the bolt that holds the pulley to the bracket for the idler. I think it is 13mm. Goodluck, Joe
First you will want to loosen the alternator. To do this you will need to loosen the bolt holding adjustment bolt in place. This is right under the alternator. After loosening this bolt, you can use the adjusting bolt to loosen the alternator and the belt should slide right off. Then you can put on the new belt and tighten the alternator using the adjusting bolt. After the belt is to the proper tightness, tighten the bolt directly underneath the alternator to keep the belt tight and from becoming loose.
Loosen the pulley first and then the belt should loosen off the tracks., follow the diagram on the hood

I went to a Chevy dealer and they printed me a copy for my 97' delta 88. I'm sure they could do it for you.
