Did you check the engine fuse located in the main fuse box, third one down (i'm pretty sure)from the window (20) amp.
The transmission computer defaults to second gear when it detects a malfunction and sets a code.
Need to take van to a Chrysler dealer and have alarm system retrained.
Could be your alternater.
there is a pin in said of the tranny that gets drity put a botle of lucus tranmission fix in it it should work if the pin is not broke
Possible causes include, battery,battery cables, starter, ignition switch, transmission range sensor, blown fuse, computer malfunction, seized engine,
The instrument cluster can cause that problem. It shorts out the communication system between the computers.
stuck parking brake/stuck brake caliper
Whatever it is leaking out of needs replaced/repaired.
You will need to determine if is a spark problem or a fuel problem then take it from there.
I had the same problem with my t&c, if you have the digital dash look and see if the odometer lights up when cranking. if not i swift pound on the dash right above the gauges usually works. (I found that on another help site and it worked for me)
