code P0302 would indicate a misfire in cylinder #2 .Most common thing is a plug or wire , But this could be a number of other things causing cly. #2 to misfire.
Chances are that you have a bad plug wire
Chances are that you have a bad plug wire
It could be out of time. You could have a spark plug wire connected to the wrong place in the firing order.
You need to isolate the cause of the misfire. Could be plug, wire, fuel, injector, internal engine, etc...
haynes manual says 1.3mm to 1.4mm but in my experience this caused a misfire I set the gaps to .9mm and all was fine.
The correct gap is .040". Originally they said .060 but it caused to many misfire concerns so they changed it back to .040". There should have been a new emiisions label put on under the hood.
It is telling you that a misfire is detected in cylinder number 4. To troubleshoot this the easiest thing to do is take the coil pack from number 4 and exchange it with number 3. Reset the light and run the vehicle. When the light comes on again see if the code is po303. If it is you have a bad coil. If it still says po304 you probably have a bad spark plug or plug boot. Good luck to you.
P304 means misfire on number four cylinder. Can be bad spark plug ,bad plug wire,or bad fuel injector. could also be loose plug wire or injector wire. How many miles since tune-up ?
What engine? It may not have plug wires so to speek of. Do you see dist. and plug wires? does it have coil over plugs? If its the 4.6 or 5.4 the A.C. Drips into spark plug holes and shorts out the plug in the boot, dry it out with air and spray dielectric grease into boot. see other post about misfire on fords. Pass side front to back 1234 drivers side front to back is 5678 good luck.
Check the sparks, if not it could be the rocker arms or coils in the engine, get a compression tester, test the compression of the cylinder, if theres no compression. throw a capfull of oil down the hole where the spark plug goes in and redo the test, if the compression goes up, somethings wrong wit the piston and the ring, if not check the cylinder head
I tried the same thing but it doesn't work. It just charges it so you have to plug it in to speakers if you want to listen to music when you're playing. which sucks
