the red one
Just pull the fuse labeled theft system
I was told by a Chevy dealer that it is built in and cannot be removed. You can disable the anti - theft by getting to the ignition switch and cut the anti - theft wire. Which in my case on a 2001 Malibu was a yellow wire in ignition bundle. This wire must be cut while engine is running to fake out the computer that enables the signal to the fuel pump to allow flow to injectors at engine. I have read so many complaints about GM's anti theft problems by too many people and I certainly feel their pain, especially in their pocket books. That routine of turning key to on position and waiting 10 or so minutes gets to be a real pain after awhile. My yellow wire that I cut was routed down behind the radio to a single pole switch with wires attached and switch left in the open position ( same as wire being cut ). The anti-theft light remains on.
no switch, just relay and fuse in fuse box under hood.
Cut the Wire was created in 1987.
I WOULDNT ADVISE DOING THAT.
I just did this and it works, remove radio and ignition switch .find 3 wire connector (we want yellow wire and it is thin) . start car and cut the yellow wire while car is running. you are done this info come from my mechanic auto repair
You Should Cut The Yellow Wire! : D
does not have one
You cut carefully so that the wire does not touch the middle of the clay.
With a pair of wire snips.
remove ignition switch and cut yellow wire from switch to passlock modual. ohm resistance off ignition yellow wire(at switch). take that reading to a sterio installation shop and get a resister that matches the risistance or close( .006 ohm lee-way).cut black wire at ignition switch and solder resister to yellow wire going to passlock and black wire to modual and you just bypassed system for good.
