Interesting question since I am currently in the process of doing just this.
First off you will need to custom fabricate motor mounts for this install.
You will also need to custom fabricate a transmission mount.
The two piece drive shaft will have to be shortened with a new front spline to fit the new transmission. The dynaflow will not bolt up to the 455.
Now for the hard part the front steering linkage will need to be lowered about two inches to accomadate the 455 oil pan or I suppose a custom oil pan could be made.
Also the Power Steering will not fit in the engine compartment without removing some of the drives side wheel covering.I chose to cut this out and weld in a plate to cover the hole.
Also the transmission linkage on a turbo400(my transmission choice)is on the wrong side but any aftermarket shifter with cable linkage should work.
The exhaust manifolds/headers will not line up to the factory exhaust and the front of the exhaust system will need to be modofied accordingly.
Lastly there is no chance that the hood will close without cutting a hole in it or putting on a scoop.

Don't do it man , I'm begging you .
Yes if it is the B-O-P bolt pattern turbo350.
There is someone with a Olds 455 in his Fiero, but he had to remove the trunk.
No.
Yes, it is possible to drop a 455 engine into an 1988 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo, but it may require modifications to fit properly. A compatible transmission option would be the TH400 or a 200-4R transmission, which can handle the power of the 455 engine.
with enough welding, fabrication, and beating, anything will fit anywhere. i fit an olds 455 rocket into an s10 blazer. anything is possible if you have the time, ability, and patience.
No. they are different head designs.
a 455 you need to buy a engine mount kit from national parts depot or just make it easy and weld them in place. I put in a 455 into a 1970 lemans, the car never came with a 455 but i had no problems mounting it in. Attach the motors mounts to the frame mounts put in the engine check and make sure it is level attach it to the trans then weld away yoy will love the 455 its a beast.
The 455 will fit. The transmission might have a shorter tailshaft, though.
