To replace a blown head gasket on a large truck such as a 1995 Suburban many of the major components will have to be removed. Cooling system will also need to be drained. Remove the timing chain, rocker covers, rockers, push rods and intake manifold. Something to note, there are two heads on this engine. Both heads should be resurfaced so the gasket will seal properly.

I just got an estimate on my 1999 Suburban, and it came to $1939 for a head gasket job. He offered me a used engine with 75K miles for $2500 installed..
Because the head gasket is blown.
what are you asking here? PLease be more specific ...like - how do I know if my head gasket is blown, or what do I do about a blown head gasket ......
Sure it will start with a blown head gasket. But, if you continue to run this engine with a blown head gasket you will destroy the engine.
No it will not. The only thing that will fix a blown head gasket is to replace the gasket.
Besides water in the oil, you will have little to no compression on the cylinder(s) in the area where the gasket is blown.
