its the little round dial next to the headlight switch turn the dial all the way up
after electrcally disconnecting the switch there should be a small button on the bottom of the switch body that will release the switch shaft. then just pull it out and do the inverse to put the new one in.
The headlight adjustment for the 1989 F150 2WD is below the actual headlight. You will need to pull the tab at the top of the headlight up to release the headlight and then you can adjust the angle of the light with the long bolt below the housing.
pull your light switch out and use a small screw driver to push clip and remove the plastic tip on the head light switch then remove the black trim around the gauge cluster
To the right of your headlight switch is a dimmer switch for your gauge cluster lighting - I'm not sure if it's the same on your F150 as my Explorer but when my dimmer switch is rotated all the way up it turns on my interior lights . Also if you have a door ajar light lit up in your gauge cluster , you probably have a sticking door ajar switch
