I also have a 2004 Dodge 5.7 hemi and I've been using 89 octane. Though people say you can use 87 regular with the decreases in hp and mpg's. This however is not noticeable unless you're wide open throttle. Gas in NJ isn't as bad as it is elsewhere, I love my dodge Ram and couldn't be seen in a prius!
