All Ford Contours (and its Mercury equivalent, the Mystique) came with either a 4-cylinder 2.0 liter engine, or a 2.5 liter V6. In 1998, these engines were rated at 125 hp. for the 4-cylinder, and either 170 hp for the "standard" Duratec V6, or 195 hp for the SVT version.
I was looking at the 1998 and 2000 Contour SVT supplements and in both it shows the 2.5 liter V6 engine
I was looking at one of Fords websites and it shows : For a 1998 Ford Contour SVT , 2.5 litre V6 engine : ( the Motorcraft FL-820-S engine oil filter is used )
only the SE v6 tiburons have the 6disk CD changer, the others ones do not, but if you have the SE, its in the trunk
many things to determine... motor being the most relevant. Many of the parts from 4 cylinder motors are interchangable. As are, V6. But, there are differences if it is SVT or not
It depends on the engine and transmission. The V6 was rated as having 170 HP at the crank and the I4 was rated as having 125 HP at the crank. The V6 with the manual trans usually dyno test's as about 155 HP, while the Auto will only dyno at around 140HP. This significant loss of power is why there aren't many automatic I4 cougars, contours, or mystiques.
Most of the newer ones
No, that name only was applied to the 3.7l v6 and the 4.7l v8.No, that name only was applied to the 3.7l v6 and the 4.7l v8.
4.2L V6, 3.0L V6 are the only two options
A 2002 V6 Mustang has a 193 horsepower. The 2002 V6 Camaro is 200. Check the torque on cars also, Not only horsepower.
No... only v6 can connect with v6 or v5.... sorry buddy --MewMew
V6. The Lumina from 1995 to 2001 only came in a V6. There were 3 sizes available though, a 3.1L, a 3.4L, and a 3.8L.
