You don't say what model year of Ford E-150
but there were 6 cylinder ( V6 and inline ) engines offered
as well as V8 engines ( 8 cylinder )

I believe they sit on top of each spark plug.
firing order 153624.......rotation is clockwise
there is two heater hoses that come out of the water pump on the left side. The first one is very short, about 6-9 inches. The other one is longer and is under the short one. This applies to 92-97 ford econoline vans. This should be very helpful http://www.autoclinix.com/Ford/Pump.html
