It's because California is only 3000 miles away and Minnesota is much further away. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Honolulu to LAX is 5 hrs and 10 mins Honolulu to St. Paul, MN is 8 hours Find out for yourself.... http://www.oag.com/travel-guides/airline-airport/air-route-info/duration-finder/
This is not necessary true. Based on weather conditions, the wind gyres in the northern hemisphere between the continental United States and Hawai'i are rotating counter-clockwise, with wind (called the Trades), blowing toward Hawai'i.
With that said, flight from the continental United States should actually be faster this way as planes will get a little push from behind (tailwind). Going from Hawai'i to the continental United States could undoubtedly receive some wind resistance (headwind).
Ultimately, the pilot can determine the speed at which he wants to have the plane fly.
The winds of the Jet Stream blow from west to east. Airliners fly at the altitude of the Jet Stream and frequently inside it. This means the airliners often have higher ground speeds going from California to Florida than they do going from Florida to California.
maybe about three hours or so after it hits hawaii...
it is a small island
because japan and Hawaii are very close, but don't have the same climate
Japan is 31 hours 'later' than Hawaii so 7 hours + you need to take into account the date line. 12 pm lunchtime in Honolulu on Wednesday is 7 pm in Tokyo Thursday
hmm tricky question.tokyo is the capitol of japan,so you are already there
In 1941 Japan attacked Hawaii and the Americans call it an act of terror and a surprise attack... in 2003 Americans attack Iraq and didn't call it a surprise attack or an act of terror, so I'm guessing they don't know about the protocol. Thus, mail must take at least over 62 years to be delivered.
Well Japan ya know if Japan wasnt a island then they wouldn't be all loving Hawaii so much
It takes about 11 hours to fly from the UK to Japan.
Five days to get to the west coast. But, wouldn't be able to drive further, as Hawaii are islands. So, would need to take a ferry. That would surely take a few days, as those islands are far out at sea.
Japan was still fighting.
40 years. But at that time, Japan has probably moved up, so China will still be behind.
About 9 hours, or so.
