Is there sales tax on wedding caterers?

Like all questions about sales tax, it depends on what country you live in. For example, there can be VAT (value added tax) in the UK, and in the US it depends if your state or county requires tax for wedding catering. You can ask any relevant professional wedding caterer if tax is required for your country or your area.

Is there sales tax on music wedding bands?

If the wedding band has a company and pays taxes then yes, they would have to pay sales tax. If they are just playing for the pleasure of it and are paid (under the table ... cheating the government) then there is no tax. If a friend has a band and they play and get paid there would be no tax and if that friend has a company they can write it off as a wedding gift.
