Cathy Banks Work At Home works like this:
1.You pay Cathy Banks $197
2. she helps set you up with online auction selling or reselling products
Be very wary of internet opportunities to 'MAKE MONEY'
The internet is full of fraud and scams so it may be best to learn how to do it yourself!
E-bay has a discussion board about scams like this:
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/forum.jspa?forumID=107
you can click on the link below. ****** : Cathy Banks claims to be "the #1 work at home consultant in North America". If this is the case, I would have expected a tireless search on the internet of her name to produce some results. The only listings I received were from her advertisement. Other than that, she does not seem to exist. : The advertisement is distributed by a company called Chapa Media, inc. Chapa's terms and disclaimers for their subscribers (Cathy Banks, if that's her real name, is one)completely resolve them of any responsibility regarding the adds that they distribute. This alone should send up a red flag. : The discussion page from E-bay, referred to above, outlines a scam by which unsuspecting persons list items on E-bay, using their personal accounts, for third party customers. They are, in fact, paid for these listings to start with. Things, however, quickly turn sour when the items listed are not delivered. : The upshot of this is that the company that pays you $5 per listing receives the "clean money" from the auction, and your credit card, which is listed in your personal E-bay account, gets back-charged for the price of the item when the innocent E-bayer demands their money back. By the time you try to contact your employer, they are long gone. : I can not say for sure that this is one of those scams, but any company that claims that they can make you rich, regardless of the fact that you have no skills, is yanking your chain big time. Good luck all. I looked all over the Better Business Bureau national site. I found absolutely nothing that had to do with "Cathy Banks" or "Cathy Banks Auction Work At Home". She is not registered with them. My gold standard for any business that wants my money before they do anything for me is that they should be registered with the BBB. SHE IS DEFINITELY NOT!! Since it is apparently extremely difficult to add a question to this website, or I just haven't figured it out yet, I am going to contribute the BBB listing for 2008 Top Ten Work at Home link below that lists a business called Underground Cash Secret. Here is the complete listing: Primary Contact: Michael Vincent

Educational/General Comments The following general information is provided after all reports on companies making work-at-home offers. Every day, ads for work-at-home jobs appear in newspapers across the country as well as in national magazines and on the Internet. Some of the offers include stuffing envelopes, assembling products, reading books, reviewing movies, medical billings, or selling advertising on the Internet.
The BBB suggests using extreme caution when responding to any such offer. While ads claim high earnings and short hours with little or no experience, BBB files nationwide indicate no evidence of anyone making the promised money. Rarely, if ever, are these ads an offer of legitimate employment. Generally, these jobs require up-front fees for information or supplies, and only the person who ran the ad makes any money.
You should be aware that the United States Postal Inspectors regularly investigate these fraudulent schemes, and that you risk investigation and possible prosecution by postal or other law enforcement agencies if you become involved in one of these schemes.

Copyright: 2008 The BBB, Inc. I had not until I received her email. Looked good so I sent the $100+ dollars and have never been able to log onto the actual site to do anything. Hummmmm, looks like a scam to me. From another contributor Cathy Banks advertises that you can earn $13.00 by posting products for companies and earn upwards and beyond of $195.00 a day. First you are asked to join for $197.00 when you don't another window pops up and now you can join for $147.00 imagine that !!! I paid the 197.00 said I could (not knowing about the second offer) start to make money in minutes after I sign up ( i knew it was not that fast). Well what do you know i get directed to a site, right away I might add, that now I have to go buy a domain name, build a website and on and on and on !!!. I don't have any experience doing that but there are people that will help me for another fee of coarse. You guessed it another couple hundred dollars or more when all is said and done. I try to go back to the original site but low and behold I can't get back there. So I go to my e-mail check my in box and spam folder just to be sure for my verification or maybe a welcome letter that you get from just about anything you respond to nowadays. Nothing. So I call the 800 number they don't work on Sunday but they take my money on Sunday
So I wait till Monday call one of the numbers and it is not even the same company, they give me another 800 number. When I do get the phone to ring I am told to call back Wednesday because it is flooding in Chicago. Fact is I still do not know if I have the right 800 number. This is the good part, about 5 pm I get a phone call from Chris whom represents Auctions work at home. He wants to sell me something else, he will train me IF I QUALIFY FOR THEIR PROGRAM !!!!. OH YEA A FEW MORE THOUSAND SO I CAN BE ONE OF THEIR SUCCESS STORIES, IF I QUALIFY AND HAVE A BIG CREDIT LINE ON MY CREDIT CARD
So I tell Chris what has happened thinking hey give them the benefit of doubt and maybe he can point me in the right direction. Take a guess ??? He doesn't know anything about it or who to call so he gives me the 800 number to customer service, the same one that didn't work before. That's my experience with this FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY THAT IS A BAIT AND SWITCH TO GET MORE MONEY FROM ME THAT I DON'T HAVE. So I decided I am going down to Staples today buy me some pencils and stand by the High School and sell them, I think I can make more money that way. from other contributors: * Cathy Banks auctionworkathome is a scam they won't give me my money back or tell me how to get were I can start set up since I was pulled away last night and couldn't finish * This Cathy Banks Work at Home is a fraud. I signed up and wanted my money back, the same as illustrated above. They said it would take some time. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS FRAUD.
One can find out if a data entry from home company job is legitimate by calling the contact person listed on the job, checking that the e-mail of the contact person is a business e-mail or by looking on other sources for same job advertisement. Additionally one could check online a 'Legitimate List' with work at home jobs available at About website.
Most banks do offer free online checking. This is a feature that allows you to bank online. It is faster and more convenient for customers who own a home computer.
Usually banks will give you a letter after you get your bank account closed. This letter can be a paper letter sent out to your home address or an email. Eitherways banks send out a confirmation that your account was closed

Foreign remittance can be defined as 'the purchase and sale of freely convertible foreign currencies as admissible under Exchange Control Regulations of the country'.A looser translation is the sending of money home while working in a foreign country. Thousands of people are currently working and living in a country that is not their home, and sending funds regularly back to their families in their home country. There are two type of remittances:1. Foreign Outward Remittance: The sending country, where the wage earner is located. The sender uses a bank or foreign exchange company to send money to foreign country. Many of the receiving banks have established remittance relationships with currency houses and banks in other countries to better facilitate the flow of remittances into the country.2. Foreign Inward Remittance: The receiving country, where the beneficiary resides. The bank receives the money that has been sent from the sending person in the country in which the money has been earned.
