Without getting too complex...there is never a real detriment to sending an uneeded 1099. Say it is to s Corp, who normally doesn't need one sent. That's because they are an accrual and maybe different calander year reporter...and they already should have accounted for what your reporting one way or another. if its someone who doesn't need the info or the IRS doesn't need the info for, the receipt of the 1099 makes no difference...they can toss it out and know they already reported it anyway.
On the other hand....don't send one to someone that should get it, and you may be fined, substantially...something like $500 per form, and that just starts the problems!
I am the owner of a small LLC, and pay rent every month for a small office to the building owner. Am I required tom Ile a 1099 Misc to report this amount?
Yes. Regardless if they are prepaid, the relevant fact is that you paid. All cash payments to a 1099-able vendor in a given year are to be reported on a 1099.
The IRS can garnish a self employed or 1099 employee. If income taxes are not paid, the IRS has the right to attempt to retrieve them.
1099 is an information return. The payer is sending the 1099 form into the IRS letting them know what money they paid out. The recipient is sending in Form 1040 showing their income. The IRS can double check that what was received, was paid and if they don't match, they send a letter to the recipient asking them to clarify.
No, any tax paid to a retail store or gas station is called an indirect tax. It is an indirect tax because you pay the tax to the store and they have to pay the tax to the government.
A 1099 is a miscellaneous income tax form. Unless the tenant was an employee of the landlord, there would never be a need for a tax form.

How you are paid does not determine whether you are a contractor. If you are properly an independent contractor, you can be paid on a 1099.
will I receive a 1099 form
At the retail store that i work at, VCH pay is when we are paid by way of voucher and are paid in cash rather then in a paycheck.
You get a W-2 form from an employer who pays payroll taxes. You get a 1099 from someone who paid you, but did not pay taxes on the money you were paid. This means that any income you get on a 1099 must be paid at a higher self-employment tax rate.
You can usually use the 1040, or 1040 ez if you were paid with a 1099. This is typically dependent on a specific dollar amount, which is approximately $5000.00
The highest paying retail jobs are in management. A store manager or an assistant store manager would be paid considerably more than a sales person as they have greater responsibility.
