yes
It is possible, anything that could affect the emissions of the vehicle can turn the check engine light on.
Yes it can if it is bad you will see the cel
It might be that your pcv valve is plugged or the egr valve is sticking.
The EGR valve is located on the passenger side of the engine on a 2006 Silverado 2500 HD 6.6 turbo diesel. A bad valve will cause the check engine light to come on.
Stumbles, dies off, low power, poor fuel economy, check engine light
Swirl Control Solenoid Valve
Yes, along with dozens of other things.
EGR valve is Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve that recirculates exhaust gas through the intake manifold to improve emissions. Typically this valve has a electric connector and harness that is computer controlled. If this valve is faulty, it will cause a check engine light to appear, or a service engine light. In some cases, it will make the vehicle run roughly. Does that help you?
Check your motor mounts and what your at it check trans mounts.
Yes, that is good. FYI, if you continue to unplug things while the engine is running you may cause the check engine light to come on.
After replacing the EGR valve, use the diagnostic tool and erase codes then read the codes again. I had the same problem on my 97 geo metro. After replacing the egr valve, the check engine light stayed on. After a while it was suppose to clear itself but it didn't. So I went to autozone borrowed their diagnostic tool, erased the codes and then my car passed and the check engine light went off.
