There are a number of reasons why you should and shouldn't. Ultimately, you won't regret learning, but if you are not going to use it why bother? * It is a handy skill * Driving is often more convienent than other methods of transit * Driving is only halted by the most severe weather conditions. * It is a lot of responsibility, more than most people want to be accountable for. * It is expensive. Cars cost thousands of dollars, insurance costs hundreds of dollars, and gasoline isn't going down any time soon. * It takes a fair amount of time. When I got my licence I had to get 50 hours of instruction. * There are more ecologically friendly methods of transit than driving. * You can't get road-rage on a bus (unless you are driving it ;) )
