A nonrenewable resource is a natural substance that is not replenished with the speed at which it is consumed. Fossil fuels such as oil, natural gas, and coal are examples of nonrenewable resources. Humans constantly draw on the reserves of these substances while the formation of new supplies takes eons.

Oil and gas are nonrenewable resources because they are formed over millions of years from the decay of organic matter under high pressure and temperature. Once extracted and consumed, they cannot be quickly replenished within a human lifetime. This finite nature makes them nonrenewable in the short term.

oil is nonrenewable because it is not reusable

well renewable means that the source can be replaced

for example paper is a renewable resorce as it is made from wood (trees) which can be replaced in the form of new trees being planted

but oil once it has been used up there is no means of replacing it as it dosent regrow so after a while it will just run out so oil is a nonrenewable resorce

part of the reason oil is nonrenewable is because it takes thousands of years to process so we must be careful so we don't run out of oil. if we do we will have to face the consequences of no oil.

the oil reserves in the country are quite limited. and moreover with growing population, we require more of this resource and hence they are depleting. And to be regenerated, they take millions of years. so they are non renewable

Oil is considered a nonrenewable resource because it takes millions of years to be renewed, an extreme amount of years, making it impossible to renew in a reasonable amount of time.
