It has air suspension. There is an air compressor under the window washer bottle under the air cleaner. The hose runs under the firewall and on the inside side of the frame on the driver's side back to the wheel well with the brake lines. There are 2 air bags above the axle. A trigger switch is mounted under the body and goes to a bar that moves up and down with the axle. A lot of things can go wrong with this system and your rear bumper will drag. Google "Check air suspension" for diagnosis instructions. You can also replace the system with metal springs. I bought mine on eBay for $115.
