Spiders reproduce sexually via internal fertilization.
When male spiders reach maturity, they deposit sperm on a sperm web and soak it up with their pedipalps. Pedipalps are arms/feelers that all spiders have that can look like a 10th pair of legs, but they double as sperm injectors in mature males. The males then go off and find a female, courts her with either tugging on her web or doing a dance for her. If she accepts, the male then reaches under the female with his pedipalps and deposits his sperm into the female's genital opening on the underside of her abdomen.
The female will then lay eggs in a silk sac after a period of time that varies wildly, and then they usually protect it either by keeping it in her web or carrying it wherever she goes. Female spiders can lay between 10 and 10,000 eggs, depending on the species.
