The 14 parishes represented the episcopal administration of the Anglican church in Jamaica set up in the very early 1700's. Each parish represented the area served by an Anglican priest. My parish, Westmoreland, was served by the Church in Savanna La Mar Jamaica. They are not to be confused with counties, of which there are only 3, Sussex, Middlesex, and Cornwall.
