Why add RAM?

You could see RAM as "drawers" on your desk..

If you're working on lots or big of projects (processes in the pc) you need lots of drawers to organize your work (e.g. files).. if your drawers are full you have to make "place" (e.g. copy files from RAM to your harddisk and back) which slows down/delays your work.

--> The more drawers (RAM) the more projects you can handle simultaniously without delays.
