In high school he wore 20 playing running back, split end and linebacker. In his first NFL season he wore #57 and was a linebacker. He was starting to be placed at LE on pass rush plays and he excelled. After 2 or 3 seasons they changed his number from 57 to 91 and made him the starter at LE. He then inherited the nickname "The Sack Machine".
