I was born in Roanoke Virginia in 1956, but my family moved away when I was 5. I used to hear my mother speak about the Great Dismal Swamp, she said people went in but never came out. I think the name of the swamp implies what it is, dismal. My mother is deceased now, but I long to hear more mysteries concerning the swamp.
