Rose was the female romantic lead of the film Titanic. As such she is a fictional character. I do not know about her mother, or if her mother was on the ship, fate, etc. I did not see the movie. It has some off-color motives when Rose and main man Jack Davis do some (Night games) in an automobile while the ship is in port, evidentally. The car is either a Renault or a Mercedes-Benz. the story has enough drama without throwing in something dirty, plot-wise.
