Teenage girls are mostly at risk for an eating disorder such as bulimia or anorexia. Girls think that they are too fat or too wide and want to loose weight by not eating which isn't the way to do it. To prevent this, girls should exercise, and eat healthy. Your body will be fit if you do that. And when you stop eating, your muscle turns to fat, so you aren't getting skinnier. You are getting bigger.
Eating disorder can affect anyone. Mostly, they hit women between the ages of 12 and 25, usually from middle- or upper-class families. Most cases occur in "Western" (Americas, West Europe, ect.) society.
Females are more likely to develop anorexia ( 9:1 ). 2/3 of all reported cases occur in "Western Society". 95% of all reported cases are in middle- or upper-class people. Roughly 70% of alcoholics / drug users show some minor forms of anorexia. Anorexia is most commonly found between the ages of 14 and 30. Note - These numbers are averages. Anorexia can affect people outside of these ranges. Also, the statistics are not exact, as they frequently change and many cases go un-reported or un-noticed, to the numbers are not perfect.

Anorexia is the correct spelling.
It is just a shorter version of the full name. Anorexia is short for Anorexia Nervosa. Therefore, Anorexia Nervosa is commonly referred to as Anorexia. (As is Bulimia. Bulimia is short for Bulimia Nervosa.)

I do not think it can be associated with anorexia nervosa, but I think it can be related with bulimia nervosa
There is evidence to suggest that genetics can play a role in anorexia nervosa, such as a higher risk for individuals with a family history of the disorder. However, genetics alone do not determine the development of anorexia, as environmental factors and psychological influences also play a significant role.
