It's programmed into the engine ECM.

There is an output speed sensor located in the lower (looking into the engine bay) right hand side mounted to the transaxle in the front portion on the top just underneath the air cleaner.

Connector "J", Pin# 04 is the wire for the speed sensor on the BCM(Brain Control Module). I only know this from downloading the schematic from hyundai's web site. I needed this information when I installed my GPS system. Hope this helps you.

I have a 2003 Tiburon GT (V6, 6-speed) and my auto insurance company definitely considers it a sports car. Personally I think it is a sporty car, but not a sports car.
